  • Most trial software add a key in your system registry by tweaking it. When you uninstall a software after it’s trial period has expired, all files are deleted except the keys in the registry. Therefore when you try installing it again, it detects the key and gives you a message like for e.g, “Your trial period has expired”.
  • I installed Teamviewer 12 for personal use a month ago and now the application displays a message telling me that the trial period has expired. 어제 갑자기 Teamviewer에 등록되어 있는 remote computer를 접속할려고 하니,

Remote Computer의 Trial Period가 Expired 되었다는 에러 메세지가 떠서 연결이 되지 않았다.

문제는, 처음 회사 컴퓨터에 Teamviewer를 인스톨 할때 실수로 Commercial 로 인스톨을 했고,

Commercial의 경우 Trial 기간이 있어 그 기간 동안에만 Free로 사용할 수 있었던 경우였다.

그래서,

  1. Uninstall Teamviewer
  2. Program Files(x86) 폴더 안에 있는 Teamviwer 폴더 삭제
  3. File Explorer에서 %appdata% 입력한 후, Teamviewer 폴더 삭제

그러고 난 후에, 다시 인스톨 해도 Teamviewer는 계속 Commercial로 인식해서 계속 Trial period has expired라고 뜬다. 이유인 즉슨, Teamviewer에 Register 되어 있는 Computer의 Network Card의 Mac Address 때문이었다.

Mac Address가 같은 경우 같은 Computer로 인식하기 때문에 아무리 새로 인스톨 해도 Personal Use – Free license가 적용되지 않는다.

그래서 본질적 해결 방법은 위에서 제시한 3가지를 모두 하고,

Network Card의 Mac Address까지 변경해 주어야 한다.

Mac Address의 변경 방법은

  1. CMD 오픈하고, ipconfig /all 명령어를 입력후 Enter, 그리고 Pysical Address를 확인한다.

2. Control Panel 에 Network and Internet 클릭후 아래 화살표를 클릭한다.

3. 인터넷이 연결 되어 있는 Network Card를 선택후 우측클릭해서 Propertise를 선택한다.

4. 화살표와 같이 Configure를 클릭한다.

5. 화살표와 같이 Advanced를 클릭한다.

6. Network Address를 선택후, Value 부분에 CMD로 확인한 자신의 Physical Address를 마지막 자리 글자, 혹은 숫자를 변경해 준다. 알파벳 글자는 A-F까지 사용가능 하다.

7. OK를 눌러 적용해 주고 난 후, Teamviewer를 인스톨할때, Personal Use로 선택하면 Free License로 적용이 될 것이다.
